'Less is More' - Hexagons

Just a quick post today, as I would love to enter the Less is More  challenge this week - which is Hexagons.  Yes, Hexagons are everywhere right now, and I must admit I would love to do more with them.  Thank you for your inspiration, Jen and Chrissie!  I had also seen some super inspiration on Youtube, where Laura Basson demonstrated a beautiful ombre card, using sticky paper and a mask cut from the hexagon full card size die - you really must check it out as it is beautiful.   The reason I am mentioning it is because I attempted to imitate her card, but only had the MFT hexagon border dies.  I set to work and cut out several border strips and then adhered them to a card front, and copied Laura's method of inking up each hexagon empty space.  I am quite happy with my result, although it is not perfect, having to join each border.  Well, of course, you can see where I'm going with the story, I hope??? - I had all the little hexagon pieces cut out of 2-sided sticky paper, so this morning when I read the LIM challenge, I knew immediately what I was going to use.  I had seen Julie Ebersole rub in fine glitter onto sticky paper, so that was my method for this card.  No loose glitter on the card, and a reasonably crisp edge to each shape.  For the small 'thanks' - a Memory Box die - I adhered the sticky paper to a strip of cardstock, which I then adhered to my card front, before sprinkling the fine glitter on to the word.  Same thing for the butterflies.  And then I trimmed the corners to match the shapes.   Not such a quick post after all - lol! - but sometimes, things need explaining!  Hope you like my effort today.
